T e r m s  &   C o n d i t i o n s - B i n t a n
Fares
  • Ferry fares quoted by Bintan Resort Ferries (BRF) are subject to change without prior notice.
  • Ferry fares quoted are NETT and inclusive of all relevant taxes.
  • Taxes breakdown are as follows: $3 TMFT & $7 BBT Passenger levy, $1 baggage handling fee, $3.20 Security Tax, $2 Indonesia departure tax and $3 Fuel Cost Adjustment (FCA). Levies and fees are subject to change according to the respective authorities. (Total 19.20 per person).
  • Adult fare applies to all passengers 12 years old and above. Children age 11 years old and below will be charged child fares.
  • Off Peak travel is on Monday to Thursdays excluding Eve of and Public Holidays in Singapore.
  • Peak travel is on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Eve of and Public Holidays in Singapore.

Amendments to booking
  • Amendment refers to change of departure date or time. A change in passenger’s name is considered as cancellation and the cancellation Terms & Conditions will apply.
  • Amendment charges are as follows:-
  • 4 Days or more before departure: No Charge
  • 3 Days to 40 minutes before departure: Amendment fee $8 per pax per amendment
  • For any amendments which result in a fare difference, passenger has to top up the fare difference from a lower value fare to a higher value fare. No refund will be given for any amendment made from a higher value fare to lower value fare. Amendment charges as per T&C will apply.
  • Strictly no amendments allowed for No-show bookings. Last check-in time at BRF’s counter is strictly 40 minutes before ferry departure time. Passengers who check-in after the cut-off time will be classified as No-Show.

Cancellation of Booking
  • Cancellation charges are as follows:-
  • 8 Days or more before departure: 100% Refund -No Admin Fee
  • 7 to 4 Days before departure: 100% Refund-Admin fee $8 per pax
  • 3 Days or less: Non Refundable 
  • Notice of cancellation must be obtained from Batam Holidays to reconfirm the cancellation.
  • Partial cancellation of a 2-way ferry ticket is not permitted.
  • Promotional packages are not allowed for cancellation at any time during the period and 100% NO Refund once invoice is issued.


Cancellation and Change of Ferry Schedule by Bintan Resort Ferries (BRF)

At any time after a booking has been made, BRF may change their schedules and / or cancel, terminate, divert, postpone, reschedule or delay any trip where they reasonably consider this to be justified by circumstances beyond their control or for reasons of safety or security. In the event of such trip cancellation, BRF Holidays shall at their option, either:

a)rebook passengers on the next available ferry departure without additional charge; or
b)offer to refund the ticket fare

The foregoing constitutes your sole remedy against us for such circumstances.


Check-in & Boarding
  • Passengers are advised to check-in and collect boarding passes at least 1.5 hours before departure time at the respective Ferry Terminals in
  • ~ Singapore at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (TMFT) #01-21
  • ~ Bintan, Indonesia at Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal (BBT)
  • BRF reserves the right to cancel confirmed bookings if passengers check-in later than forty (40) minutes before departure time.
  • Departure gate will close fifteen (15) minutes before departure time.


No Shows
  • Passengers who fail to check-in for the collection of boarding pass 40 minutes before ferry departure time will be classified as “No Show”.
  • For “No Show” cases, the booking automatically lapses and is void. No refund and / or amendment will be allowed.
  • Passengers need to purchase new tickets for the next available departure (subject to seats availability)


Documents
  • The Passenger must ensure that his/her passport is valid for entry and that it is valid for at least six months prior to departure.
  • The Passenger shall comply with all travel and immigration requirements necessary in the country of destination and shall, if necessary obtain all necessary visas, licenses, permits, passes, certificates or documents whether for health, immigration, customs or other purposes.
  • Passage fares will not be refunded where the Passenger is refused embarkation or entry into country of destination by reason of his failure to obtain and/or possess a valid passport or other necessary documents.
  • Entry visa may be required for some nationalities upon arrival in Bandar Bentan Telani, Bintan Resorts. For more information on visa application, please refer to www.brf.com.sg or to the Indonesia Embassy. Visa requirements shown are correct based on information provided by Indonesia Embassy and is subject to changes without prior notice.


Baggage and Other Property
  • Baggage is separately checked-in at the respective baggage counters. Passengers are required to check-in their baggage 25 minutes before departure.
  • Each passenger is entitled to 1 hand-carry items, no larger than 70 cm x 51 cm x 34 cm each and not exceeding 10 kg and 1 sling bag.
  • Each passenger is entitled to check-in baggage allowance of 20 kg. Any excess will be charged in accordance with rates levied by respective terminals up to a maximum of another 20 kg.
  • Other Property of the Passenger apart from baggage, including but not limited to bicycles and surfboards are subject to a carriage fee of S$10.00 per piece and will only be allowed on board the vessel subject to availability of space.

Fitness of the Passenger to Travel
Passengers who are pregnant, or have any form of sickness, disease, injury, infirmity, disability or illness, whether mental, physical or otherwise which could affect their fitness for travel shall:

  • disclose their pregnancy and the stage thereof, sickness, injury, infirmity, disability or illness, as the case may be, to BRF at the time of reservation of passage.
  • Submit to Batam Holidays prior to sailing a medical certificate certifying their fitness for travel.
  • cIf necessary, be accompanied and assisted by an able bodied person who shall be responsible for their health and safety at all times including the period of transit.
  • Reimburse and fully indemnify Batam Holidays and hold Batam Holidays harmless against any losses, claims, damage, costs, expenses and /or delay, of whatever nature sustained by BRF, whether directly or indirectly, and arising out of or in connection with their pregnancy, sickness, disease, injury, infirmity, disability or illness, as the case may be.

Passengers who are more than 28 weeks pregnant are prohibited from traveling on board the Vessel unless a medical certificate certifying fitness to travel is provided.

Passengers who require special assistance or special arrangements to be made while on board the Vessel shall inform BRF at least 72 hours prior to departure. BRF will take all reasonable steps to comply with and/or accommodate the Passenger’s request but the provision of special assistance/arrangements is solely subject to availability.

BRF shall be entitled at any time, without giving reasons, to refuse passage to any Passenger who is pregnant, or has any form of sickness, disease, injury, infirmity, disability or illness, whether mental, physical or otherwise or to cancel any reservation made by or for such Passenger, without any liability whatsoever to such a Passenger.
