Ocarina Park
Riau Island is a province of Indonesia, consisting of Riau Archipelago, Natuna Islands, Anambas, and Lingga Islands.
The spoken language is Bahasa Indonesia.
The time diference is an hour behind Singapore Time.

Originally part of the Riau Province, the Riau Islands were split off as a separate province in July 2004 with Tanjung Pinang as its capital.

Batam is one with the 3,200 islands, which make up the Riau Archipelago and is closest to Singapore, that is only 20 km apart or 45 minutes by air-conditioned ferry.

The island of Batam, which lies within the central core group of islands (the Riau Archipelago), contains a majority of the province's population.

Over the years we have seen an increased number of hotels, retailers and spa centers to accommodate the number of tourists - Singaporeans being the largest numbers to flock
over the weekends and holidays.

There was even a recreation park called the Ocarina which consists of a theme park and, an outdoor stage to facilitate an event. Due to lack of A&P,
the park has nothing much to offer to the tourist except for the locals.

Perfect for Transit guests

Batam island is actually perfect for tourist who are in transit from Indonesia and tourist staying in Singapore.

The cost of Resort stay is relatively cheaper as compared to the nearby country e.g., Malaysia and Thailand.

This island is a major transit for shipping and has been geared towards tourism for many years.

No one leaves Batam without a spa indulgence. There are few places you can go for a good massage.

Hotels and resorts are generally more expensive compared to the one found at

shopping mall. It would be best to arrange appointment prior your departure as it tends to be full unless you are there on a weekday.

Where to stay?

If you plan to have a rest and relax holiday and staying for more than 2 nights, we suggest you stay at the Resort.

Most of the resorts are located either at Nongsapura Ferry Terminal or Waterfront Ferry Terminal.

These are approximately 30 minutes away from Nagoya town.

However, Resort stay usually have full facility such as water sports, high-end massage center and a big swimming pool.

For shopperholics and staying only for one-night, we recommend staying hotels located within Nagoya town.
