Bintan Island is home to four enchanting golf courses, making it a genuine golfer's paradise with several excellent golf courses charging much lower prices than in neighboring Singapore.
Bintan Lagoon Resort boasts two excellent courses in the Ian Baker-Finch (Woodlands) course and the Jack Nicklaus (Sea View) course. The former Banyan Tree course is now called The Laguna Bintan Golf Club and offers an 18-hole layout designed by Greg Norman.
The Ria Bintan Golf Club offers play at the 18 holes Ocean course and the first nine holes of the Forest course, both designed by Gary Player.
The local wooden handicrafts are worth buying, if you're on the lookout for a souvenir or two. The prices are generally cheap if you can find the right places to buy from.
The resorts use Singapore dollars as their de facto currency, but while they're accepted elsewhere on the island as well, exchange rates may not be in your favour and you'll usually be better off using rupiah.
Unlike Batam island, all Bintan resorts are close to the sea and walking distance to the beaches.
You find plenty of activities in Bintan such as Archery, horse riding, flying fox, Raffles shooting, elephant shows and many more. Check our packages that comes with free perks during the promotion period.
